Finding Reliable Auto Transportation (Video)
Lisa Silva of PAL talks about how to find reliable auto transportation, and choose the best company for you.
Make sure you check those Google reviews and see that they’re reliable and trustworthy. It’s a more personal way to get to know the company a little bit, the things they do right and the things they do wrong. The next thing you want to do is make sure you ask them about their insurance policy. What’s ideal for most insurance policies is about a $2 million policy. Make sure that your vehicle is covered all nine yards, and make sure that you’re not going to have any headaches when it does come to a totaled vehicle. So you want to ask a lot of questions because you don’t want to sign up for something that you’re not aware of. You want to make sure that you have a flat rate, that the price will not go up on you. And you also want to make sure that, that company is not going to go missing when you need help.
Customer service here at Preowned is one of our high priorities and we love to make sure that you’re taking care of as a customer. So asking those questions and getting a feel for a trustworthy company is very important because when you need those questions answered and you can’t find someone, it can become very stressful. And you don’t need a stressful situation when it comes to car transporting if you’re moving, if you’re going to college, if you’re doing dealership trades or anything like that. So you want to make sure you want to cover all bases before you do get your car on a trailer. You want to look out for that flat rate before you give them your credit card and set everything, and sign any papers. You want to ask them, will my price go up? That is very important because if they tell you that this is the minimum that they’re going to start with, then that means that your price is going to go up and you can expect charges that you weren’t aware of, and that can become very frustrating.
You also want to communicate to your sales rep your expectations and if they can be met. And if they can’t, then talk to your sales rep, maybe you guys can get together and create some more realistic expectations when it comes to transport. But you definitely don’t want to close in any deals that you don’t feel personally comfortable with.
