A: There are a few simple steps to getting your car ready for pickup. Follow this easy checklist, and you’ll be all set for your car shipping service with PAL:
- Remove any Fast/Sun Pass from the vehicle or cover it in aluminum foil or a foil shielding bag. PAL will not be responsible for any tolls incurred during transit from Pass readings.
- To avoid excess weight, ensure your vehicle has ¼ of a tank of gas.
- Thoroughly clean the vehicle so that your driver can perform a complete inspection of the exterior and interior before loading it onto the truck.
- Remove all personal items from the vehicle; this includes GPS, chargers, and Bluetooth adaptors.

Q: Do I need to be present for pickup and drop-off?
A: A signature will be required for pickup and drop-off when your driver performs the inspection of the vehicle. This paperwork requires the customer’s signature to ensure both parties agree that the car is in the same condition at pickup and delivery. In some cases, you can arrange for a representative to sign for you.
Q: Will my vehicle be driven?
A: No. Your car is only driven on and off of the truck. It will NEVER BE DRIVEN otherwise. Please let your driver know ahead of time if the vehicle is not operational to allow us to plan for loading and unloading the car.
